On the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, I am pleased to congratulate Muslims all over the world, and I pray to Allah to accept their fast, prayers and good deeds. The arrival of this virtuous month is an occasion to reaffirm the tolerant values of Islam and its principles as a religion of mercy, solidarity, love among Muslims and moderation. This blessed month has come at a time when the Ummah is faced with enormous challenges in all fields, a situation that demands us to come together in solidarity and unity to support one another. The dangers threatening the sanctuaries, creed, existence and indeed the future of our Ummah require us to make unremitting efforts to boost security and solidarity in our countries, to ensure progress and development of our people, and to build our self capacities in order to secure credible standing in the comity of nations. As we usher in this blessed month, my prayer to the Almighty Allah is to protect our Ummah from turmoil and conflicts, to grant us the wherewithal to raise our profile and strength, and to grant our leaders wisdom and success. Many happy returns of Ramadan. Wassalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.
