Vision

The Information Technology Department will be a proactive leader, identifying issues and offering innovative solutions to enable OIC to accomplish its goals and provide quality services to our OIC Staff more effectively and efficiently.

Mission

Our mission is to provide reliable and sustainable technology services in a timely and powerfully manner. We are committed to meeting the needs of all OIC staff, by equipping and supporting the OIC with quality resources in technology. We are constantly seeking to improve and implement appropriate hardware and software for the benefit of OIC. We are always striving to enhance all aspects of technology at OIC through training, learning, service and understanding.

Goal

• Develop and maintain communication channels that ensure ongoing and meaningful dialogue between the OIC and the IT staff.
• Provide security and continuity of the IT environment, ensuring the integrity, privacy and availability of information.
• Develop a multi-tiered support system that addresses the varying levels of expertise and the specific needs of the OIC.
• Provide a solid foundation of IT infrastructure that supports and adapts to the needs of the OIC and is continuously improved.
• Continuously assess and improve the efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the Information Technology Department staff and processes.

Responsibilities

The Information Technology Department of (ITD) provides services related to information technology to OIC staff. ITD ‘s responsibilities include maintaining a stable electronic work environment; collaborating with other staff to use information technology to better serve OIC, identifying emerging technologies to meet the OIC’s changing needs; protecting the OIC’s investment in technology; and providing training to staff on the proper use of software programs and equipment.
