OIC General Secretariat Condemns Targeting of a Military Base in Mogadishu

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that targeted a military base in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday, 10 February 2024, which led to the martyrdom of a number of Somali, Bahraini, and Emirati forces.

H.E. the OIC Secretary-General, Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, expressed his strong condemnation of this heinous terrorist operation, and offered his condolences and expressions of solidarity to the families of the victims and to the governments of the Federal Republic of Somalia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Secretary-General reiterated the OIC's condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and its support for the efforts of the Somali government to combat terrorism and enhance security and stability in the country.
