His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), received Dr. Zuhair Ghoneim, Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scouts (IUMS), on 29 January 2024 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat. The visit provided an opportunity for the IUMS Secretary-General to review the activities implemented recently and the future programs envisaged by the Union, including organizing a youth forum on dialogue and moderation.
His Excellency the Secretary-General praised the IUMS efforts and activities, especially in the field of promoting a culture of tolerance, enhancing readiness in confronting extremist ideology that leads to terrorism, and engaging youth in the development process in the Member States. The Secretary-General called for activating coordination between the IUMS with the General Secretariat, especially with the Department of Youth and Sports.
