OIC Secretary-General Participates in King Faisal Prize Meeting

H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), attended a meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to select the recipient of the 46th King Faisal Prize (KFP) for Service to Islam for the year 2024. The meeting was chaired by HRH Prince Turki Al-Faisal, founding Member of the Board of Trustees of the King Faisal Foundation (KFF) and Chair of the Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS). The purpose of the meeting was to select the most deserving individual or institution for the prestigious prize.

The KFP's "Service of Islam" prize category is designed to recognize individuals or institutions that provide exceptional services beneficial to Islam and Muslims. The prize is open to those who offer their expertise and advocacy to Islam and Muslims or make remarkable contributions resulting in significant benefits to the community. The committee assesses the extent to which the nominee's efforts align with the KFP's goals before deciding.
