At the invitation of H.E. Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia, H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), attended the Third Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition 2024 under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The conference commenced on Monday, January 08, 2024, in Jeddah and was inaugurated by Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Governor of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province. It witnessed the participation of several Highnesses and Excellencies, including fifty ministers, muftis, and senior officials who oversee the Hajj affairs in their respective countries and several ambassadors and consuls of countries to Saudi Arabia. The annual event aims to advance the development of Hajj and Umrah services, promote cooperation, and facilitate the provision of high-quality services to the pilgrims.
At the event, the Secretary-General had a meeting with the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, along with multiple delegations from the OIC Member States, as well as ambassadors and consuls representing various other countries.
