In the Implementation of the Resolution Issued by the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh: Saudi Foreign Minister and a Number of Foreign Ministers from Brotherly Countries Embark on a Round of Official Visits to UN Security Council Permanent Member States to Advocate for Ceasefire in Gaza

In the implementation of the mandate assigned by the joint Arab-Islamic Summit, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 11, 2023, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chair of the 32nd Arab and Islamic Summits, leads, as from November 20, 2023, a round of official visits to a number of permanent Member States of the Security Council.
Participating in this Arab-Islamic action are H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, H.E. Mr. Ayman Al-Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H.E. Mr. Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Mr. Riyad Al-Maliki, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine, H.E. Mr. Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Ms. Retno Marsudi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
This Arab-Islamic move is undertaken on behalf of all Member States of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. It is also designed to pressure for launching a serious and genuine political process that would lead to the achievement of lasting and comprehensive peace, in accordance with the established international terms of reference, as well as for taking deterrent measures to halt the crimes of the colonial occupation authorities against humanity, while ensuring urgent relief corridors to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged Gaza Strip. This action also aims at pressuring for taking all measures, in accordance with international law and international humanitarian law, to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its blatant violations and crimes in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including East Al-Quds, as well as against Islamic and Christian sanctities, particularly the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
