His Excellency Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), received on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at his office, His Excellency Absher Omar Jama Horsi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The Minister stressed the importance that Somalia attaches to cooperation with the OIC to enhance its role and promote joint Islamic action. He also reviewed the political, economic, humanitarian, and security situation in Somalia.
While highlighting OIC support for Somalia, the Secretary-General commended the efforts of its government towards development, stability, and combating terrorism.
