The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, received today, 8 October 2023, in his office at the headquarters of the General Secretariat, H.E. Amb. Shahin Abdullayev, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the OIC.
The Permanent Representative briefed the Secretary-General on the latest developments with regard to the issue of Karabakh.
The Secretary-General reiterated OIC’s principled position of support for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and stressed the need for establishing permanent peace, security, and stability in the region.
Both sides also discussed issues of common concern that are on the OIC agenda.
