Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Amir Abdollahian, on 22 September 2023, on the margins of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, both sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the OIC and Iran and how to enhance joint Islamic action. They also discussed several issues of common interest, including the question of Palestine, the situation in Afghanistan, and the efforts by the OIC to combat Islamophobia.
