OIC Secretary-General Meets with The Gambia Vice President in New York

On September 18, 2023, His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held a meeting with His Excellency the Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, Mr. Mohammed Jallow, on the sidelines of the meetings of the 78th UN General Assembly session in New York.
The two sides valued the distinct bilateral relations between the OIC and the Republic of The Gambia. They also discussed ways to develop them. Furthermore, they addressed issues of common interest.
The Vice President of The Gambia briefed the Secretary-General on the ongoing preparations for the 15th Islamic Summit, which The Gambia will host in the capital, Banjul, on December 16 and 17, 2023.
