Secretary-General Receives the Permanent Representative of Somalia to the OIC

On September 11, 2023, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Hissein Bbrahim Taha, received in his office at the headquarters of the OIC General Secretariat, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Adam Juma, Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
During the meeting, the Permanent Representative stressed the importance attached by Somalia to cooperation with the OIC to strengthen its role and enhance joint Islamic action. He also reviewed the political, economic, humanitarian and security situation in Somalia.
The Secretary-General commended the efforts of the Somali government to achieve development, stability and combating terrorism, and renewed the OIC support in this regard.
