OIC Secretary-General Expresses Sympathy with Libya in the Wake of the Hurricane, Torrential Rains and Severe Floods

H.E. the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H. E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, has expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the State of Libya following the hurricane, torrential rains, and massive floods that submerged parts of the country, causing loss of lives and property.
The Secretary-General expressed his condolences and sympathies to the victims and to the government and people of Libya following this disaster and commended the efforts exerted by the authorities to contain it.
Meanwhile, H. E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha also called on the OIC Member States to show solidarity with Libya, and to provide urgent assistance to those affected.
