OIC Calls for Cessation of Fighting and Return to Dialogue in Sudan

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed grave concern about the fighting in several Sudanese cities between the Sudanese army and the rapid support forces.

The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, called for immediate ceasefire and return to the path of dialogue and for reason to prevail.

Mr Taha expressed his confidence in the wisdom of the Sudanese people and leadership and in their ability to surmount this crisis through negotiation and dialogue.
