OIC Condemns the Blatant Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Warns of Repercussions

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ blatant storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, its brutal assault on worshipers in its courtyards, and the arrest of several of them, considering this dangerous escalation an assault on the sanctity of holy places and freedom of worship, and a flagrant violation of the Geneva Conventions and relevant United Nations resolutions.

H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, the OIC Secretary-General, held Israel, the occupying power, fully liable for the repercussions of these despicable and condemned attacks that would fuel tension, violence, and instability in the region, reaffirming that the entire blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and its compound is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims. At the same time, Brahim Taha called on the international community to take serious action to end these repeated Israeli violations and compel Israel, the occupying power, to respect the sanctity of the holy places and preserve the legal and historical status of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
