The Envoy of the Secretary-General for Afghanistan arrives in Kandahar and meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Afghan de facto Authority

The Envoy of the OIC Secretary-General to Afghanistan, Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakheet, arrived on Wednesday, 08 March 2023, in the city of Kandahar and met immediately upon his arrival with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the de facto Authority in Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Mutaki, in the presence of the Deputy Governor of Kandahar, Mawlawi Hayatullah Mubarak and senior officials from the State and the foreign ministry .

During the meeting, they discussed the follow-up on the implementation of the resolutions of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on Afghanistan and the recent meeting of the Executive Committee last January, which invited the envoy of the Secretary-General of Afghanistan to visit Afghanistan in order to convey the organization's message towards supporting Afghanistan and the importance of reviewing the recent decisions taken by the Afghan de facto authorities towards girls education and women's work.
