The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, received, today, 15 December 2022, at the headquarters of the OIC General Secretariat H.E. Mr. Vladimir Voronkov, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Counterterrorism and his delegation.
Both sides discussed cooperation between the OIC and the United Nations Office for Counter Terrorism and prospects for strengthening it within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two sides in 2018.
They also exchanged views on security challenges facing a number of OIC Member States, the issues of financing terrorism and cyber security and emphasized the need for increased international cooperation in this regard.
