The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the assassination and premeditated killing of Palestinians by Israeli occupation forces, the most recent being the heinous execution of Amar Hamdi Muflih in Nablus by an Israeli occupation soldier, which was documented in many audio-visual recordings.
The OIC held the Israeli occupation authorities wholly responsible for the repercussions of these crimes which call for accountability. It demanded that the United Nations and relevant international bodies constitute a fact-finding committee to investigate the circumstances of Amar Muflih’s martyrdom. It also called on the international community, in particular the Security Council, to assume its legal and political responsibilities and bring pressure to bear on Israel, the occupying power, to stop these crimes, hold it accountable for all its violations and racist policies, and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.
