OIC Secretary General Calls for creating special Start-up Funds to support Startup projects in OIC Member States

An OIC delegation led by Dr. Ahmad Kawesa Sengendo, Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs is participating in the Azerbaijan Investment and Youth Entrepreneurship Forum being held on 17 - 18 November 2022, in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.

Dr. Ahmad Kawesa Sengendo addressed the opening session of the Forum on behalf of the OIC Secretary General Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha. In his Message, the Secretary General stated that policy-makers and business communities concerned at national and international levels need to meet and exchange knowledge and articulate commitments to improve the investment climate in OIC Member States.

The Forum is being organized by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The OIC delegation will also take part in several panel discussions on the Human Capital and Entrepreneurship in the OIC countries. The event will provide an opportunity for youth entrepreneurs from different countries to showcase their innovations and explore best ways of turning their ideas into successful investments and businesses.
