Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held discussions in Moscow on 24 October 2022.
The OIC delegation was headed by the Secretary-General Mr Hissein Brahim Taha while the Russian side was led by Mr Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Both sides had extensive discussions on major regional and international challenges and underscored the importance of coordination and consultation for the benefit of international efforts to enthrone peace, stability and development in the world.
They also reiterated their commitment to foster their existing friendly relations and support cooperation between the Russian Federation and the OIC in various field in view of Russia’s observer status in the OIC.
Both sides also reviewed bilateral cooperation and coordination on all issues of shared interest within the framework of political consultation between the two sides.
