Secretary-General Receives Credentials of Iraq’s Permanent Representative to the OIC

H.E. the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, received on 06 September 2022 in his office at the headquarters of the General Secretariat, Mr. Muhammad Samir Al-Naqshabandi, who presented, to the OIC Secretary-General, his credentials as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the OIC.

During this meeting, the Secretary-General commended Iraq's leading role within the framework of the OIC and in promoting joint Islamic action. For his part, the Permanent Representative of Iraq stressed the special importance his country attaches to supporting the work of the OIC, paying tribute to the active role of the Secretary-General and his tireless efforts to serve the interests of the Muslim Ummah.

The two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest and ways to strengthen relations between the OIC and the Republic of Iraq.
