At the invitation of the Government of the Republic of Chad, H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), participated on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in N'Djamena, in the opening ceremony of the comprehensive and independent national dialogue between all political parties, civil society and representatives of living forces in Chad.
The dialogue followed the signing of the Doha peace agreement between the transitional government and the opposition political and military movements.
This important event aims to discuss all issues of the transitional period and the political, security, economic and social challenges facing Chad.
On this occasion, Mr. Taha delivered a speech urging all stakeholders to exert more efforts for the success of this dialogue and to address all the challenges that Chad is witnessing to promote security and peace and prepare the appropriate ground for comprehensive economic development.
He also wished success for this comprehensive dialogue, while reaffirming the OIC support for Chad to overcome all obstacles and promote peace and stability.
