President Gnassingbe of Togo Received the Special Envoy of the OIC Secretary-General for Africa

Mr. Nassirou BAKO ARAFIRI, the Special Envoy of the OIC Secretary-General for Africa, was received on 13 May 2022, in Lome, by H.E. Mr. Faure Gnassingbé, President of Togo and Dean of the Heads of State of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

During the meeting, the Special Envoy handed over to President Faure Gnassingbé a written message from the OIC Secretary-General, H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha.

The two personalities seized this opportunity to review the multiple challenges facing the West African sub-region, including those related to the transition in Mali as well as in Burkina Faso and Guinea. They also stressed the importance of combining efforts and encouraging dialogue and cooperation in order to find acceptable solutions.
