It is with great sadness that the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation mourns Prof. Wakar Uddin, Director-General of the Arakan Rohingya Federation, who passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 in the United States of America. May Allah have mercy on him and put him in his vast paradise.
The Secretary-General of the OIC, His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased and to the Rohingya community for whom the deceased fought in defense of its just cause and basic rights, asking Allah Almighty to bless the deceased with his Mercy and enter him into his vast paradise, and to inspire his relatives patience and solace.
