OIC Secretary-General Meets with the Turkish Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs

On Monday, March 21, 2022, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, met with His Excellency Tahsin Erturoglu, the Turkish Cypriots Minister of Foreign Affairs. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed aspects of the bilateral relations between the OIC and the Turkish Muslim Cypriots and stressed the importance of implementing the resolutions of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on the situation in Cyprus. The Secretary-General reiterated the OIC’s solidarity with the Turkish Muslim Cypriots in line with these resolutions.

For his part, H.E. Mr. Erturoglu valued the important role of the OIC and its solidarity with their just cause.
