The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the political agreement in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, which was co-signed by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Dr Abdullah Abdullah.
The General Secretariat expressed hope that the agreement would bring security and stability to the country and serve the goal of fulfilling the aspirations of the Afghan people.
The OIC reaffirmed its support for and solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the new government for the well-being, prosperity and development of the entire country.
