The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, extended his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the government and people of Indonesia in the wake of the tsunami that battered the islands of Sumatra and Java, killing hundreds of people, causing over a thousand injuries and provoking massive destruction of property.
Al-Othaimeen expressed his profound condolences to the families of the victims and his wishes of prompt recovery to the injured.
The OIC Secretary General appealed to all OIC Member States and charity organizations to provide all possible assistance to Indonesia and offer aid and relief to the affected people in these difficult times.
