The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the participation of international delegations in an Israeli conference in occupied Al-Quds and considered that as encouraging the Israeli occupation policies designed to change the city’s legal and political status and usurp the rights of its people.
Partaking in such activities is a serious departure from the resolutions of the latest meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Affairs held in May 2018, which called for non-participation in any meeting or event serving Israel’s objectives of perpetuating its colonial occupation and annexation of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, the OIC explained.
Further, the OIC reaffirmed that Al-Quds is an integral part of the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 and the capital city of the State of Palestine, stressing the need to take the necessary measures, political and legal, against officials who side with the Israeli occupation and encourage its illegal actions in the occupied city of Al-Quds.
