OIC Secretary General Reviews with UNRWA Living Conditions of Palestinian Refugees

The OIC Secretary General, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, received in his office in Jeddah UNRWA’s Commissioner General, Mr. Pierre Krähenbühl and considered with him cooperation mechanisms to mobilize support for UNRWA’s budgetary capacities, such as to enable it to fulfill its duties and continue to extend its humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian refugees.

UNRWA’s envoy expressed his thanks and appreciation to the OIC Secretary General for his efforts to have a high-level meeting convened on the margin of the UN General Assembly’s meeting last September, to bolster UNRWA and enable it to carry out its important role in the service of the Palestinian refugees. The OIC Secretary General, on his part, expressed OIC’s commitment to support UNRWA and to notch up the Member States’ contribution to its budget so that it may better serve the Palestinian refugees.
