OIC Secretary General Highly Appreciates the Role of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Enabling Muslims to Pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen has appreciated very highly the major role played by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud in the past few days, which resulted in enabling worshipers to enter the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, after having made necessary contacts with world leaders.

The Secretary General stated that the high status enjoyed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among countries of the world and its Islamic weight have succeeded in galvanizing the international community to put pressure on Israel, the occupying power, to reverse the restrictions it had imposed on entering the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Secretary General commended the pivotal role of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its constant efforts in supporting Islamic causes.

The Secretary General expressed thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his huge efforts which turned out successful in a manner that will restore stability and tranquility to the worshipers and preserve their dignity and security. The Secretary General also reiterated the full support of the OIC for the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which underscores the right of the Muslims to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and to perform their religious rite therein with ease and tranquility.
