The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, sent a cable of condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, on the crash of a Saudi Armed Forces helicopter with 12 Saudi military personnel onboard. They were killed while fulfilling their patriotic duty in defending Yemen, its people and their legitimate authority, and to counter attempts threatening the security of Yemen, the region and international peace and security, he stated.
The Secretary General also sent two cables of condolences to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, the Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Interior, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister , and Minister of Defense.
In his message, the Secretary General conveyed hismost sincere condolences over this ordeal. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless the martyrs with His mercy and forgiveness, rest their souls in Paradise, inspire us all and their families with patience, andprotect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from those wishing to play havoc with it.
