H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), received in his office on Monday, January 08, 2024, Mr. Iliyas Umakhanov, Member of the Senate of the Russian Federation, Commissioner for Hajj Affairs in the Government of the Russian Federation, and the accompanying official delegation.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Islamic world and the Russian Federation in various fields, including politics, economics, social issues, culture, and science and technology.
Both parties emphasized the vital importance of persisting in their efforts to develop their relationship in ways that benefit their people and lead to security, stability, and sustainable growth.
