Following the success of the Arab Summit, which concluded its proceedings on Friday, 19 May 2023, in the city of Jeddah, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, extended his sincere congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, and to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
H.E. the Secretary-General commended the pioneering role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure the success of the Arab summit, which would strengthen the bonds of solidarity and cooperation in the region and give a new impetus to efforts to find appropriate solutions to all issues and challenges facing it. He also expressed his confidence that the chairmanship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of the Arab Summit and the 14th Islamic Summit will contribute to strengthening cooperation and coordinating positions between the two groups.
