OIC Urges Yemeni Parties to Continue Peace Talks in Kuwait

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has called on the Yemeni parties to continue the peace talks that are being graciously hosted by the State of Kuwait under the supervision of the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen.

The OIC expressed its support for the statement by the group of ambassadors accredited to Yemen on the Yemeni peace talks,which called on the government delegation to continue the peace talks. The statement had also commended the readiness of the government delegation to accept the latest proposal by the Special Envoy aimed at sealing an agreement that would end the Yemeni crisis and it also called for the continuation of the talks.

The OIC called on the delegation representing Ansar Allah and the People’s Congress to engage positively with the Special Envoy’s proposal to facilitate an amicable solution to the crisis.

The OIC renewed its full support for the intensified efforts by the UN Special Envoy in this regard.
