In the period from 13 to 19 February 2024 covered by the OIC Observatory on Israel’s Crimes against Palestinians, 753 persons were killed in the Gaza Strip, 2 in the West Bank, while 1069 were injured. Most of the martyrs in the Gaza Strip died from the bombardment of various parts of the Strip by the Israeli occupation forces. This includes Rafah which has been described by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) as “the world’s most densely populated area,” holding 1.5 million people, almost half of the population of the Gaza Strip. UNICEF called for the protection of civilians in Rafah amid Israel’s unrelenting bombardment of civilians and threats to continue its military aggression during the month of Ramadan, heightening the chances of committing unprecedented massacre and worsening the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip....
